Well the winter trout series is getting tight, given that the last day to check in your catch is tomorrow (1/31/07) at midnight. I have been bumped off the board for a couple of weeks and knew i needed a fish - bad! The bad thing is I'm not so good a catching trout, yet! Went out today to give a last ditch effort to get back on the board and viola! Caught at least a dozen in just a couple of hours and all were legal, best thing was they kept getting bigger! Landed one that was just shy of 20" she got me moved up mid way on the board, so now I'm on to round two! All my trout were caught on a pearl/chart devil eye and amber/chart small mullet on 1/8 oz jig heads. I was fishing in deep water under the fresh water that came down this morning. I know she isn't as big as some of those other guys, but I'll catch up I'm learning more and more every outing.
